Tyler Creek Road is a Country Band that has emerged as an eclectic powerhouse of contemporary and traditional music. While retaining their country music roots, the band has incorporated their musical influences into their overall sound.
With a lineup of powerful vocals from Elliott Ambrose and the Smokin Hot, lead guitar playing of Mitch Chaddock, Tyler Creek Road is the premier live-performance band of the Southern United States. Behind it all, Herb Damron provides a relentless drive on the drums to hold it all down. Bert Hornschmeyer, on bass, keeps it moving to compliment the Tyler Creek Road sound.
At the heart of Tyler Creek Roads music is an abiding respect for traditional country music combined with an approving understanding of the modern country sound. While Tyler Creek Roads primary focus is on original material that reflects their solid country roots, they also pay homage to their southern heritage and the many other influences that have shaped their understanding of music. On any given night, the Tyler Creek Road fan will hear the definitive influences of bluegrass, traditional country, country rock and folk music.
OUR PHILOSOPHY: All music flows out of the same river and, ultimately, back again. It is the musician that takes it, shapes and forms it, and, if he is successful, finally reaches a moment, in the music, that is worthy of the listeners ear. The members of Tyler Creek Road commit themselves to the end.
Elliott Ambrose Guitar/vocals/songwriter: Elliott Ambrose is from West Virginia. He has delved extensively into interpreting the rural culture through his songwriting. As a result, the original songs Tyler Creek Road performs will cross the gamut from Honkytonk Country, to Line Dances to Country Ballads Love Songs. TCR is also influenced by the Southern Rock genre and invariably these influences inform the music. Elliot is the lead singer of the band. Some of Elliotts influences are, ZZ Top, The Allman Brothers, Jimmy Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Buck Owens, Chris Stapleton and, the ultimate rock star, Mozart.
Mitchell Chaddock – Lead Guitar: Mitchell Chaddock has written, recorded and produced original music in the south and toured with various bands all over the Southeastern United States. Jerry has not only held down the lead guitar but has also written entire albums of songs for the bands in which he was a member. Herb Damron – Drums: Herb is known among his peers as the, Delivery Man. This is because he always delivers on drums. Although clearly able to do so, Herb rejects the idea of flashy drumming in favor of solid meter and proper tempo. Herb knows the foundation must be solid in order for the band to prevail in any musical endeavor. To this end, he has committed himself. Herb is comfortable playing anything from Merle Haggard to Allman Brothers and always does it right. Herbs influences are across the board from Jazz to country. He likes Hank Williams. the Allman Brothers and listens regularly to Wes Montgomery and John Coltrane.
Bert Hornschmeyer – Bass Guitar: Bert was born in Cuba but grew up in Floridat. George is a seasoned musician with a long resume to back it up.
