Brian K & The Parkway Release New Single “The Beachcomber” out now
In an alternate universe where garage rock, power pop, and modern Americana blast from every beach blanket boombox and bounce off the dunes, “The Beachcomber” by Brian K & The Parkway is the song of the summer for 2026. A keyboard intro teases the chorus before a snare fill tears the song open. From there, it’s an up-tempo rock ‘n’ roll romp featuring chiming guitars, melodic bass runs, and a chorus vocal that steadily climbs until reaching the song’s highest note. The lyrics bounce between an observed meet cute at a beachfront bar, the narrator’s own memories of young love “red wine and pink moon” and ultimately finding what is required to make love last. In a live setting, the crowd is already singing along to the instrumental hook before the song is even over. RIYL Fountains of Wayne, The Gaslight Anthem, The Jayhawks. Featuring Cat Popper (Norah Jones, Grace Potter) on bass and Rob Clores (Jesse Malin, The Black Crowes) on keyboards.
