Two brothers and their best friend looking to rock the world. Like most kids with dreams of fame and fortune, all they really wanted to do was jam. They tried everything they could think of to get into the music business. This passion to play and sing, and share their songs, found them playing out anywhere someone with a building and electricity would let them… school dances, a garage, backyard parties, weddings, and more. Almost immediately, this young trio of “brothers” started writing and recording original songs. When playing out, they found that they were connecting more with their audiences while playing their originals instead of covers. Over the years, they learned to play multiple instruments, honed their vocal chops, and refined their songwriting. Their goal has always been to write, record, and share with the world their songs of family, faith, and God. With the advancement of technology, home studios, and the internet, the trio have found a way to record and release their music.
Hoping to leave a legacy of music that will continue to resonate with people for generations to come, Cabela and Schmitt’s music continues to manifest a profound expression of love. Blending Rock, Country, Pop, R&B, Folk, Christian, and AC/Easy Listening music, Cabela and Schmitt have released more than 10 albums & EPs, and countless singles as part of their discography catalog.
The trio consists of Rich Cabela and Wayne Schmitt on guitar and keyboards, and Tom Schmitt complementing them with his distinctive bass guitar grooves. Together, the artists have embarked on a musical journey that spans nearly five decades, creating a memorable soundscape that resonates deeply with life’s unique experiences.
Their music begins with scattered thoughts and random musings on existence, much like anyone else’s, but then Cabela and Schmitt’s gift comes into play. These thoughts and feelings are transformed into melodies, the chaos turns into order, and words form verses.
More than just songwriting, the artists’ music is a means of channeling messages that they share with their audiences. Driven by a passion for making music, Cabela and Schmitt are pursuing their lifelong venture of telling stories of their own lives and those around them.
The most rewarding aspect of their music, however, is the continuous praise and feedback that they receive from fans touched by the music in profound ways. Drawing inspiration from icons such as The Beatles, Eagles, and Johnny Cash, the trio aims to paint their own unique and riveting canvas of music.
Cabela and Schmitt’s music has already been met with success. Their song “All Alone” climbed to #1 on New Music Weekly Top40 Indie Music Singles Chart for May 17 and May 24, 2024, #1 on National Radio Hits AC40 Chart for May 22, 2024, and #2 on NRH Top40 Chart for May 22! Their song “Testimony” reached #5 on New Music Weekly Top40 Radio Indie Music Singles Chart, #10 on New Music Weekly AC/Hot AC Radio Indie Music Singles Chart, and #19 on NMW Hot 100 chart.
Cabela and Schmitt were honored to be among New Music Weekly Magazine’s New Music Awards 2024 winners as New AC Artist/Group of the Year.
Their scintillating new single, “All the Things,” is a delightful adventure, while “Time Accelerates” explores the complexities of finding happiness amidst life’s challenges. They are currently finishing a new fifteen-track country album, “All the Things,” featuring the single. Their new Christmas EP, “Begotten Son,” will be released in the fall of 2025.
Cabela and Schmitt have achieved a remarkable feat, amassing over 12 million streams on Spotify in 2024 alone, stunning audiences with songs that are not just melodies but are colored with layers of stories, emotions, and life itself. Cabela and Schmitt continue to be set apart by their ability to transcend genres.
All of their music is available for collaboration and for artists looking for new material.

Born in Denmark, Kelly Lausen (male) is a musician whose life has been deeply intertwined with music from an early age. Growing up in a musical family, he was influenced by his uncle, Palle Lausen, who played rhythmic guitar in Denmark’s first official Rock ‘n Roll band, “The Restless,” which began touring in 1960. At just three years of age, Kelly began his musical education in a special kindergarten that emphasized musical development. He continued to hone his skills at a senior high school where he was one of six students selected to receive free music training from future music teachers at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark. This intensive three-year program further deepened his passion and expertise in music. Throughout his career, Kelly has played in numerous live bands across Denmark, Ireland, and later in Tokyo, Japan. His versatility as a musician is evident in his ability to play various instruments, including the piano, guitar, drums etc. Despite pursuing a career in pharmaceuticals, he continued to perform live, work as a studio musician, and write songs for others, blending his dual passions seamlessly.
