Two brothers and their best friend looking to rock the world. Like most kids with dreams of fame and fortune, all they really wanted to do was jam. They tried everything they could think of to get into the music business. This passion to play and sing, and share their songs, found them playing out anywhere someone with a building and electricity would let them… school dances, a garage, backyard parties, weddings, and more. Almost immediately, this young trio of “brothers” started writing and recording original songs. When playing out, they found that they were connecting more with their audiences while playing their originals instead of covers. Over the years, they learned to play multiple instruments, honed their vocal chops, and refined their songwriting. Their goal has always been to write, record, and share with the world their songs of family, faith, and God. With the advancement of technology, home studios, and the internet, the trio have found a way to record and release their music.

Hoping to leave a legacy of music that will continue to resonate with people for generations to come, Cabela and Schmitt’s music continues to manifest a profound expression of love. Blending Rock, Country, Pop, R&B, Folk, Christian, and AC/Easy Listening music, Cabela and Schmitt have released more than 10 albums & EPs, and countless singles as part of their discography catalog.

The trio consists of Rich Cabela and Wayne Schmitt on guitar and keyboards, and Tom Schmitt complementing them with his distinctive bass guitar grooves. Cabela and Schmitt were honored to be among New Music Weekly Magazine’s New Music Awards 2024 winners as New AC Artist/Group of the Year.

Their scintillating new single, “All the Things,” is a delightful adventure, while “Time Accelerates” explores the complexities of finding happiness amidst life’s challenges. They are currently finishing a new fifteen-track country album, “All the Things,” featuring the single. Their new Christmas EP, “Begotten Son,” will be released in the fall of 2025.
