Souls of the Working Class – Joseph Hosey
Haling from the shores of the great Lake Erie, Joseph Hosey is a singer/songwriter steeped in seventies rock and 90’s grunge, but his southern roots and early country music influences were what was always boiling just beneath the surface. Telling stories with music and lyrics was always his real passion. He began experimenting with songwriting at a very young age and now his songwriting journey has brought him back to the country heritage instilled by his Texas born parents.
What coalesces Joseph’s newest offerings is traditional country music storytelling and soulful blues/rock melody that he likes to call “Rustbelt Country”. Finding inspiration in life’s twists and turns, Joseph blends personal struggles and observations of the human experience to create relatable songs and stories that speak of the heartache and joy of living. In his debut country radio single, “Souls of The Working Class”, Joseph shares of the hardships of having to working too hard to make a living these days. He sings “there’s no rest for the working folks / just the way we got to live our lives.”
