Bio/Tour:
Mary Ann Markarian grew up as a preachers daughter in the church, and it was there that she fell in love with music. Learning to play piano from her musical mother, Mary Ann began writing new songs immediately, even as a child. By age eight, she gave her first full concert of all original music to her neighborhood friends in her familys garage, while her mom served Kool-Aid and cookies to her audience. Forming a country gospel band called Submission, Mary Ann and her three older brothers made their first record when she was only eleven years old, even recording some of her own original songs! By age fifteen, Mary Ann and her brother Jim hosted a musical radio program over the largest daytime station in the nation. Gaining more experience through her college years, Mary Ann was a part of an inspirational group of singers who performed on international television weekly, and sang on programs featuring well-known artists such as Roy & Dale Evans, Barbara Mandrell, Aretha Franklin, and Pat Boone. Mary Ann has recorded eight albums, including her newest and highly anticipated CD Miracles, which contains fifteen new songs that she has penned. One of those tracks is entitled Live Grateful, which was inspired after meeting some of the survivors of Hurricane Harvey. Mary Ann is a supremely gifted singer/songwriter whose distinctive sound and writing style are establishing her as one of countrys brightest new artists!
