Asian American Country artist Rose Knight from Simi Valley, CA by way of Portsmouth, VA started out singing in Los Angeles at the age of five at the world famous Palamino Club and has continued to perform on stages across the country from L.A. to Nashville singing Country music with recording artists such as Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker and more opening shows for her mother, renowned Japanese fiddle player and entertainer, Tokyo Matsu. Tokyo Matsu was signed to Plantation Records in the mid 70s and brought Rose 3000 miles to Nashville. Rose grew up in the Nashville area and after being on the road with her mother being a regular performer playing shows on the stages of Branson, Rose realized she needed to be in the Music City. After moving back to Nashville Rose landed a job with Warner Brothers Records/Nashville, where she worked with recording artists such as Faith Hill, Travis Tritt, Keith Urban, Randy Travis and more.. Rose has been writing Alternative Popabilly songs since the age of 14. Her song Judgement Day co-penned with five time Grammy nominated producer/engineer Denny Knight and Adam Shoenfeld (Big and Rich) won grand prize in Atlantas 2002 Rocket To Fame songwriting competition. In 2003 Rose collaborated with *Bob Saperiti and King Kooba of OM Records UK, with her song Slaves and Gypsies Dance Mix that rocked London dance floors. Rose and her writing partner Denny Knight won the Collective Songs award in 2009 for the International Songwriting Competition. From her Confession CD produced by Bob Saperiti (*Savahna Music and Warner Brothers Records/Nashville), Am I A Fool was nominated in 2012 for an Indie Music Award in the Best Country Category.
