Following the sad loss of lead guitarist Nick Powell and drummer Dave Rochelle in 2023, bassist/vocalist Bo Benham and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Steve McNerney decided it was time to reconnect. After a few relaxed catch-ups over spaghetti Bolognese and some great vintage red wine, they began casually bouncing around some musical ideas for fun at first. But soon enough, those sessions sparked a creative flow, and before they knew it, a collection of new songs had taken shape. A new album wasn’t originally on the cards, it just happened organically! Garrick BIO Song Release “The Rising Sun”
Here’s another release from Garrick Alden. His song “The Moon and Mars” Played on the show for local talent on WPOC in Baltimore and the song “Is It Friday Yet” was on WMZQ near Washington DC. Garrick Alden also had a song on the popular TV show “Friday Night Lights”.
Garrick Alden is an iconic guitarist and all-around musician and recording engineer. In an article in the prestigious Guitar Player Magazine, the late guitar legend Danny Gatton bestowed on Garrick the honor of naming him a world class guitarist. In his earlier career he was a nightly lead guitarist on the Grand Ole Opry. Garrick is currently in the band “Shotgun Highway” and Johnny Seaton’s band “Bad Behavior”. He was also lead guitarist in the Ronny Dove Band. He also writes and performs with his partner Carmen. Their awards with VH1 Save the Music “Song of the Year” include their sultry song “Autumn” and the fun “Cyberspace Santa”.

As a studied musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and recording engineer Lawrence Cameron McGhee has loved and played music all his life.
He fell in love with the sound of the guitar as a young boy learning to play by ear he was intrigued by its influence in music in particular R&B. His resume includes forming his own lucrative seven-piece group, session work, producing new artists and recorded artist. He honed his song writing by studying with Arthur Hamilton (“Cry Me a River”) and Annette Tucker. His focus as a music professional has been to constantly improve his craft. Being a native of Los Angeles he always enjoyed the music diversity that he experienced there.
Lawrence believes that a song is a synergistic marriage of lyrics and music. While he concurs that the bass may be considered the heart of R&B, he recognizes the guitar as its je ne sais quoi (that intangible something).
Lawrence’s love for the guitar is evident in his song “It’s Just Love”. As guitar is very relevant to traditional R&B he created that same feel in this production. His crafted original songs include some funk, sophisticated blues and sweet ballads with thoughtful and clever lyrics that create ambiance and will make the listener smile.
