Jed Melton was born in Poplar Bluff Missouri and raised in Piedmont Missouri, a small two lane road, one stop light town with the Walmart parking lot being the main hang out. Jed started playing the guitar when he was 15 years old and always leaned toward country music. If he had to pick just one inspiration it would have to be Joe Nichols. The song “Pickup Man” was a favorite while growing up on all types of country music. The residents of Wayne County, where Jed was raised, have backed his music dream and he has jumped into the main stream with both feet and we feel he will have great success.
