Bio/Tour:
When it comes to songwriting, one could say Big Jim Davis has some years on many of his peers today. He started writing songs at the tender age of 15, and decades later he believes hes delivering his best work yet.

Throughout his life, Big Jim Davis has pulled inspiration from a wide variety of heavy hitters. Asking him to narrow down his influences is as he puts it not possible. The likes of blues greats Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker, and B.B. King, country and rockabilly stars Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins, and classic rock groups Cream, The Yardbirds and the Zombies have each given him lessons in not only songwriting but performance, delivery, and grace. Today hes taken all hes learned from the greats both past and present, as well as his own life experiences and created a healthy amount of music that comes in hues of Blues, Country, and Rock. All the while, personal homages to his life and the universal feelings of love, loss and then some flow through his music.

Songs like Sinkin In The Water deal with something almost everyone has been a victim of; an addiction to a toxic yet consuming romance. While I Must Go On Alone tackles the inevitable experience of losing a loved one and how its ones own choice to lose themself in the pain or find a way to move on from it. These are just two of the dozen or so singles Big Jim Davis has released since 2018. His latest being 2020’s slow and sensual blues song “I Feel Your Heat.”
A multi-instrumentalist who takes on the guitar, bass, banjo, keyboard, piano and harmonica, Big Jim Davis has proven time and time again to be a master of his craft. He spends much of his time in his studio crafting music, but occasionally performs with local bands in the Los Angeles area.

Again, feeling like he’s at his best at this time of his life, Big Jim Davis plans to keep on keeping on with his music. He plans on not only releasing more new music in 2020 but putting together a band to perform his creations at local LA-based venues.
